Introducing hematology blog from Dr. Anusree Prabhakaran

Dear all,

This is Dr Anusree Prabhakaran, MD General Medicine, DM Clinical Hematology, native of Kerala, now residing in Pune, working in Deenanath Mangeshker Hospital.

On day of Gudi padwa, Maharashtra New year, I decided to start my own blog regarding Hematological problems and how to handle the same. My aim is to try and help patients suffering from various blood related problems- cancerous and non cancerous and to help young doctors who want to be haematologists in future.

Blood disorders vary from simple problems like anemia- that is decrease in Hemoglobin content in blood, low platelet count, increase in eosinophil count, excessive bleeding, increased clotting tendency and to more serious issues like bone marrow failure syndrome and various kinds of blood cancers.

I would like to approach these topics in different ways: first for patient information and second for professional- Young hematology aspirants.

Hoping to start with the first topic specific write up from tomorrow as soon as possible.

God bless you all....
